I live just at the edge of the wonderful North Yorkshire Moors and only a short drive to great beaches such as Saltburn-by-Sea.  I’m also not far from the shops and hustle and bustle of Middlesbrough – when I need some good old retail therapy – or even York if I feel the need of a visit to the famous “Betty’s” for a coffee – all in all, a great place to live.

I have always enjoyed going to Craft Fairs and am amazed at the talent and imagination of those dedicated crafters.  I found that I was always spending much longer (and much more money) at the stalls which displayed American Country type crafts.

 I work part time in an office, but to keep my sanity, I started to make my own American Country Crafts either designed by myself to my own taste or using craft patterns which I bought from the States; just for my own pleasure – it is so relaxing to switch off and sew or paint, even cutting the wood myself is relaxing???

My wonderful husband Steve, saw fit to buy me some lovely gifts to help me in my crafts, such as a scroll saw, a tool box, a palm sander and other such items – yes, I am a lucky girl!!!!

Due to some lovely feedback from friends, thank you, I started to do ‘Party Plan’ in September 2006 which went really well; my Christmas Snowmen were so popular.

In February 2007, I decided to try small Craft Fairs, which are a really good way of meeting some lovely people, both crafters and customers.  But I knew that I ultimately wanted to sell my crafts via my own web site, so I have taken the plunge and this web site is the result I do hope you like it.

I use a variety of materials – I’ve even been known to raid my Dad’s woolen sock drawer to make hats or jumpers for my snowmen!  I always try to use genuine American goods, particularly the Homespun fabric which is fantastic, and try to mostly use authentic colonial American colours of paint such as Barn Red and Soldier Blue etc. – although I do also mix paints to achieve various shades and colours.
